From April 7th to 10th, São Paulo welcomed one of the most anticipated industry gatherings of the year: SiGMA Americas 2025.

Bringing together thousands of innovators, investors, and leaders from the gaming, tech, and iGaming sectors, the event turned Brazil’s biggest city into a vibrant hub of global exchange and opportunity.
While attendees were immersed in exhibitions, keynote talks, and networking sessions, much of the critical work happened behind the scenes. Our team at Unique Close Protection was on the ground ensuring safe, seamless experiences for many of the VIP speakers and international guests who attended.
Supporting a Global Event
Large-scale events like SiGMA don’t just demand planning from organizers—they also pose unique challenges when it comes to close protection and secure transportation. With high-profile individuals arriving from across the globe, there’s a heightened need for precision, flexibility, and risk management that adapts to fast-changing environments.
Unique Close Protection worked closely with clients, hotels, and local stakeholders to coordinate logistics and manage personalized security strategies. Our operations spanned hotel transfers, venue access, private meetings, and discreet movements across the city—all with the utmost focus on safety and comfort.
The Realities of Security in São Paulo
Hosting international events in a city as complex as São Paulo presents its own set of challenges. This urban landscape, while dynamic and full of opportunity, requires careful route planning, traffic anticipation, and deep local knowledge.
For us, secure transportation involves more than just getting from point A to point B. It means evaluating multiple routes, monitoring live developments, and maintaining constant communication between our field teams. Each escort or protective detail includes detailed risk assessments, contingency planning, and the ability to adjust instantly when conditions shift.
Timing, Coordination, and Adaptability
At events like SiGMA, VIP guests often follow extremely tight schedules: back-to-back engagements, media appearances, and high-level private meetings. One of our most pressing challenges is managing secure logistics under time pressure.
With only minutes between engagements, our teams had to navigate not only the physical space—crowds, traffic, venue layouts—but also shifting agendas. This required flawless coordination between close protection agents, drivers, and support personnel. It’s in these critical windows where experience, teamwork, and calm decision-making matter most.
The Human Element
None of this would have been possible without the professionalism and commitment of our team. Each member—from agents to coordinators—showed discipline, quick thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively under pressure.
Whether it was early-morning briefings, last-minute route changes, or quiet vigilance during private meetings, our personnel maintained the level of excellence that defines our standards. Behind every successful operation was a well-practiced system of preparation, communication, and mutual trust.
Looking Ahead

We’re proud to have contributed to the safety of our clients of such an important international gathering in Brazil. And we’re already looking ahead—not only to the next edition of SiGMA Americas in 2026, but also to the many other major events São Paulo continues to host throughout the year. As the city strengthens its position as a global destination for innovation, business, and networking, we at Unique Close Protection remain committed to providing the support that keeps these occasions running smoothly, safely, and professionally.
